Résumé
This Special Issue presents selected contributions from the WindEurope Electric City 2021 Conference that took place 22-26 November in Copenhagen. A total of 14 papers are included, addressing one (or more) of the three conference themes: • Onshore wind • Offshore wind • Electrifying the energy system. Presenters in the Science & Research Track of the conference were invited to submit a paper for these proceedings. All submissions have gone through a careful peer-review organized by the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE 1 ). As with previous WindEurope events, the European Academy of Wind Energy has been responsible for organizing the review process for scientific contributions and has contributed to the development of the conference sessions. WindEurope has been responsible for the organization and logistics of the conference, and we thank their highly professional staff and their associates for the excellent collaboration.
