Characterization of a 3-phase AC plasma process

A 3-phase plasma reactor has been developed in the frame of researches on Carbon Black production from hydrocarbon cracking. The process optimization has led us to characterize the pilot into two main directions : are zone behavior and general flow field into the reactor. The are zone analysis has been carried out using ultra high-speed cine-camera. The Bow in the reactor has been modelled with a CFD code. Results have been compared with experimental measurements.
