              <p>The material under study is a fluorosilicone rubber used for sealing sensitive systems with an expected long-life service. In a preliminary study, uniaxial tests, both tensile and compressive loading, were carried out and the results exhibited material compressibility; therefore, the incompressibility assumption was called into question [1]. To fully characterize the mechanical response and ensure long-term mechanical response, it is then necessary to measure its bulk modulus K and to follow its evolution over time. At non-aged state, confined compression in a brass crucible showed a low modulus compared to the literature (560 MPa instead of 1 GPa) by considering the load and the displacement retrieved from the testing machine. In order to retrieve the local response of the material, a new setup was proposed. A transparent crucible (PMMA) was used to measure local deformation by image acquisition and post-processing with Canny filter. The bulk modulus was about 700 MPa. These results show that the deformation was overestimated, using the data from the testing machine, due to rigid body movements ofthe confinement system. To go further, this new experimental setup will be used to follow the evolution of K for different aging time/temperature in a similar way than Bouaziz et al. [2]. Acceleration aging process was carried out at 200 and 250°C during 10 and 2 weeks respectively. Using optical microscopy on the surface, an increase of the number of spherical voids (~ 20 μm) with aging seems to be highlighted. However, these voids are not evenly distributed in the specimen, resulting in heterogeneous local deformation. This porosity increases until full degradation after 2 weeks at 250°C.
